Senior Associate

Denise Chan is a Senior Associate in the Personal Injury team in Melbourne, Australia.

Denise was admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Victoria in 2013. She has advocated exclusively for people injured on the road, at work and public place accidents throughout her career.

Denise commenced her career at the then largest Plaintiff law firm in Australia, where she remained for 11 years. During that time, she acted predominantly for people injured in transport accidents and has worked across various suburbs including Reservoir, Preston, Sunshine, Keilor and Epping. Denise then spent another 2 years practising at another large, publicly listed law firm, handling complex litigation in the areas of Motor Vehicle Accidents and Workers Compensation. Throughout her career, Denise has successfully represented clients throughout the various stages of their claims, from small claims all the way up to the Supreme Court of Appeal. Prior to joining Longton Compensation Lawyers, Denise also worked in the legal department for the Transport Accident Commission, gaining a valuable insight into the scheme from the perspective of the organisation.

Denise focuses on ensuring her clients’ claims are progressed efficiently, but with minimal disruption to their lives and path to recovery. She is passionate in ensuring that every claimant has access to high quality legal representation. Denise speaks fluent Cantonese and Portuguese, and one of her goals is ensuring that people from all backgrounds and cultures have access to justice; including a sound understanding of law within the relevant compensation schemes they are accessing.

Any reference to a “Partner” means an employee with sufficient seniority. Longton Compensation Lawyers is an incorporated legal practice and not a partnership.
