Ben Cortese

Ben is an Accredited Specialist in Personal Injury Law with over 10 years’ experience representing injured people in compensation claims. He specialises in Compulsory Third Party (CTP) Motor Vehicle Accident claims, with experience also spanning Workers Compensation, Total and Permanent Disability (TPD) and Public Liability matters.

Throughout his career, Ben has represented thousands of clients across a broad range of personal injury matters, including complex and catastrophic injury claims involving traumatic brain injuries, spinal injuries, serious orthopaedic injuries and psychological conditions. He has particular experience navigating claims involving disputed liability, complex medical evidence, causation and the assessment of damages.

Ben has extensive experience representing clients in proceedings before the Personal Injury Commission, District Court of New South Wales and Supreme Court of New South Wales. His practice involves conducting complex litigation, working closely with medical and other expert witnesses, and negotiating settlements in high-value and contested claims.

Ben has also represented clients from diverse cultural backgrounds, including international visitors injured in Australia and clients residing throughout Asia, the United States, the United Kingdom and Europe.

Ben takes a strategic, thorough and practical approach to each matter, identifying key legal and evidentiary issues early and developing tailored strategies to achieve the best possible outcome for his clients. Drawing on his background in business, he combines strong technical knowledge with a commercially minded and solutions-focused approach to resolving disputes.
